What a marvelous epic fantasy story!
The first book The Stone of the spirits was very intriguing and a fascinating beginning but this one glued myself to the pages till the end.
It is full of action and the storylines between the protectors and their differences and discussions are so vivid. I loved the way the author is creating the magical creatures. What I even adored more was the double side of many characters.
I truly fell for the powerful Kamina, I enjoyed the spirit Callaghan that accompanied her and I was very eager to know more about the magic of the elf ranger Kamina but also the other participants.Kaedin also was a great and lovely guy to get to know more from. It was so nice to read about their adventures and bonds with other unexpected partners. Now every special one has to be reunited with the others to fight the true assassin.
This series could be used to create a film because of the detailed scenes and action. I was blown away by the twists and I can’t wait to discover more of this magical world and special creatures.
If you love a captivating fantasy story this one will not disappoint you!

This book is amazing! The cover is beautiful, the symbols that represent each part of the book are great, but what I love the most are the maps! (Reminds me of the LOTR books) the perfect addition to this whopper of a book.
This is the first book I have read by Andrew, (his first book to this series has just gone on my wish list and the cover for that book is just as stunning). I’m amazed at just how easy he planted his words, characters and world into my mind, a world that he describes with ease and passion (you can tell he loves what he writes).
I enjoyed the pace of the book, nothing felt rushed. Some of the characters have some unusual names, this I stumbled on a few time, but with the genre of the book it was to be expected….. not one Nicola in sight.
All in all a great read, definitely one you can get lost in very easily. I’m looking forward to getting my hands on book 1 and filling a few holes.

What does two tree elves, a Ishkava Ranger, a priest and a cyclop have in common? War.
Two of the main characters are Kamina and Kaedin, two elves who now live in the trees and forest where their kind now resides, leaving the comforts of towns and the humans. But their world changes when a Ranger by the name of Callaghan Tor crosses their path. Their lives are interrupted as they start a journey to save their home.
How can they do so? It starts with the ancient Stone of Spirits which with its powers will prevent the total destruction of the world as they know it. Who would want to destruct the world? Malenek and his army. But not just any army, one whose members are the dead.
Their path cover the many terrain of their world, from the sea to the desert and all the many places in between. This is not a quest for the weak at heart and mind. There will be death, many to occur before the band of fighters can begin to fight for their world and the world of their family and friends.
There are many characters in this book, one that is rather lengthy. Yet even though it is a novel that has many pages, it does not stop you from turning them as you want to know what is on the other side, as you want to know what is going to happen to your now favorite character.
I did enjoy this book and I am not one who picks up fantasy to ready for a good read. One really gets their money worth when they purchase this book.
